DESWA Engineering has completed the supply and replacement of solar-energy integrated street lights at Yiuku Market in Endau/Malalani Ward, Kitui County.
Works began on 20 May 2025 under an 8-week contract with the County Government of Kitui's Ministry of Trade, Industry, MSMEs, Innovation and Cooperatives. The county issued a certificate of practical completion on 11 June 2025 and authorised payment of the full contract sum on 17 June 2025.
The new lights improve security at the market after dark and run entirely on solar power, with no running cost to the county for electricity.
